We will be making site updates over the following week and updating all of the latest CTA information.
Dear Fellow CTA Members:

Thank you so much for making the 2015 CTA Annual Technology Summit a great success this year! We had great participation and set new attendance records. It was a very exciting event filled with high value content and discussions. From the opening rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner” by our host state Florida DOC on Monday morning to the final awards presentation ceremony on Wednesday it was clear that this year’s theme of “All Systems Go!” had been met.

By creating a high-energy launch pad for great networking and high-value dialogue the members and sponsors of CTA were able to make this year’s Summit a memorable event for everyone. Adam Gelb of the PEW Charitable Trusts fired the engines and gave us an amazing look into the changing landscape of criminal justice with his opening keynote on the Public Safety Performance Report. We soon cleared the tower for great breakout sessions in one of our three tracks covering the topics of “Innovate, Collaborate, and Connect” for the afternoon. It was obvious this launch had been successful!

Tuesday morning saw a huge turnout on the beach for the inaugural CTA Morning Fitness Walk making the 2 mile trek down the beautiful beaches of Daytona! For the “space walk” survivors there was cold water waiting thanks to our very own CTA Secretary Joyce Taylor!! The rest of the day was filled with great presentations and discussions in the exhibition areas. When CTA broke out the ice cream sundae’s at 3pm it was a big hit as many of us took the opportunity to “refuel”. Later that evening the talent level went ballistic as the Karaoke singing hit it’s apogee during the Luau celebration!

The CTA Summit finally reached orbit on Wednesday morning where the CTA presented awards to include a well-deserved leadership award for Tom Herzog, past president and long-time advocate of corrections technology. Our very own Treasurer John Daugherty received the CTA President’s Award for his dedication, hard work and loyalty to CTA as well. Overall, the 2015 CTA Annual Technology Summit was a fantastic success thanks to our loyal members like you.

Many thanks to past CTA President Doug Smith for taking event photos, they can be seen here:
